The Football for Hope movement has received the award for Philanthropy and Cooperation through Sports at the Global Sports Forum. Football for Hope is a social development project led by FIFA and streetfootballworld which has carried out a range of initiatives in areas such as education, children's rights and anti-discrimination since 2005.

Bayern's Gomez out for up to 3 weeks (AP)
Germany striker Mario Gomez will be out for two to three weeks with a calf injury. Bayern Munich says that Gomez ruptured a muscle in his right calf during Tuesday's Champions League match at Fiorentina. Gomez was replaced by Miroslav Klose in the 30th minute. He may be back in time to face his former club Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on March 27.

Switzerland, Austria to play in Euro 2012 warm-up (AP)
Switzerland will travel to face Austria in an Aug. 11 warm-up match before beginning their qualifying campaign for the 2012 European Championship.
